Kair Shermukhametov has worked in various analytical jobs with a focus on energy and mining in Central Asia in the areas of finance and media.

His previous experience includes working as an Analyst at the Economics and Research Department of Vizor Capital Kazakhstan; as an Analyst at Eton Energy, covering Central Asia and CIS oil and gas, metals and mining; and as a researcher at the Energy and Mining Unit for Interfax Kazakhstan.

Kair has a BA in Political Science from the American International University in London. He speaks Kazakh, Russian and English.
